About this project
Efficient public transportation is one of the core branches of a Smart City.
Qatar Railways Company together with LIC reinvented the existing transportation system by focusing on innovative energy efficient solutions. A well-light transportation facility not only accounts for safety, but with LIC’s IT network solutions, it is a step forward to an interconnected city.
Unique luminaire design
For this project, LIC developed a unique luminaire design and supplied handrail lighting for the public transport infrastructure – all completed in preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and as part of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
